Analytics has been at the forefront of all major developments in class action litigation for nearly four decades.

Since the 1970s, Analytics has been a leader in the administraton of complex class action and mass tort notice campaigns and settlements. During this period, we have pioneered developments in the administration of complex settlements that mirror the developments in U.S. class action litigation. Our notable accomplishments include:.

The 1970s...
  • Administering one of the the first MDL class action settlements (IN RE: Multidistrict Civil Antitrust Actions Involving Antibiotic Drugs, MDL 10), followed by later antitrust and discrimination settlements.

  • Developing a national litigation consulting practice with a focus on class issues. Representative engagements included landmark matters involving sexual discrimination (Rajender v. University of Minnesota, No. 4-73-435 (D.Minn)), racial discrimination (IN RE: Burlington Northern, Inc., Employment Practices Litigation, MDL 374 and Six Mexican Workers, et al. v. Arizona Citrus Growers, 77-329 (D. AZ)), and antitrust litigation (IN RE: Corrugated Container Antitrust Litigation, MDL 310).
The 1980s...
  • Administering the first large-scale consumer products class action settlement involving a national notice campaign and claims processing associated with transmission repairs affectong 4.2 million vehicles. (Skelton et. al v. General Motors Corporation No. 79 C 1243 (E.D. Ill.))

  • Administering the first "junk bond" securities litigation settlement. (In Re: Flight Transportation MDL 517 (D. Minn.))

The 1990s...
  • Becoming the first class action consulting firm to use the Internet to provice class members with information regarding class action settlements.

  • Being retained by the Federal Trade Commission to provide consulting and claims administration supporing FTC consumer protection efforts.

  • Administering the first large scale hybrid mass tort/class action settlement involving a nationwide class of purchasers of contaminated ice cream (In Re: Salmonella Litigation PI 94-016304 (Minn.4th Jud. Dist.))

  • Administering the then largest mailed notice campaign in U.S. history, where based upon a computerized analysis of 60 million transaction records derived from hard copy and legacy systems maintained by four defendants, 18 million class notices were mailed to class members (Zawikowski v. Beneficial National Bank, No. 98 C 2178 (N.D.Ill)).

Since 2000...
  • Administering complex class action settlements with world-wide notice programs. (In re: Bayer AG Securities Litigation, In re: Asia Pulp & Paper Securities Litigation)

  • Providing e-discovery, data solutions, and claims administration services for a settlement relating to the largest Internet based fraud in U.S. history. Class members were solely identified from credit card transaction logs, and were provided with detailed transaction data to support claim submission. (Federal Trade Commission v. Crescent Publishing Group, 00-06315 (S.D. N.Y.))

  • Implementing next generation secure online claims preparation - including advanced electronic legal notification and a deficient claim portal providing class members with plain language notice of deficiencies regarding their claims. (Lundell, et al. v. Dell, Inc., 05-03970 (N.D.CA), In re Merrill Lynch & Co. Research Reports Securities Litigation)

  • Developing an integrated infrastructure for the management of mass tort claims, including legal and medical record review. Analytics' mass tort management platform allows for the plaintiffs and defense counsel - located across the country - to coordinate the review and resolution of claims. (In re: Guidant MDL Litigation)
